Since its foundation in 1976, ESACT meetings with their joint trade exhibition have developed into one of the two major events in the area of animal cell culture technology, building on a tradition of combining both basic science and its use and transfer into industrial technology.

 Attended by participants both from academia and industry, ESACT meetings are ideal venues for creating solutions to problems by trying to understand the cell and its functioning while introducing the technical solutions available both from research institutions and commercial providers.

 In 2011, the meeting will take place at the Hofburg Congress Centre in Vienna, a city ranked amongst the three most attractive cities in the world in terms of living quality and characterised by a unique blend of history and modern living standards.
